Working Youth Mission Trip

Help Rebuild Communities

The MCPC Mission Trip began in 1992 and is for adults and youth age 14 and up (13 if accompanied by a parent or adult). As a Mission Team our goal is to help people that have been affected by catastrophic weather events such as floods or hurricanes. We target areas that are typically deficient in funds to assist with their rebuilding. Our goal is not to go to the same place two years in a row. The youth get to see how others live, and how their work can impact someone in need.

We begin each morning with a devotion. Youth are teamed up with qualified adults to learn new skills such as building decks and handicap ramps, drywall, plumbing, insulation, electrical, building walls, brick laying, roofing and many other skills, too many to list. On Wednesday afternoon we take time off to have fun, food and fellowship. In the past we have enjoyed canoeing, white water rafting, or visiting local areas of interest.

The purpose of the annual MCPC Mission Trip is to have a safe, enjoyable, and fun time for the youth and adults of Mallard Creek, by working alongside each other and helping others in need, the youth can also learn skills they can use for the rest of their lives.
