Back to School Sunday success!

Huge thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Back to School Sunday this year!

We had the great honor of blessing all our students and their backpacks and technology, as well as commissioning all our educators and committing as a congregation to pray for them this school year. Our congregation also majorly showed up with donations to our Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Preschool and donations for our Backpack Blessings ministry, in which we provide food each week to local food-insecure families. Mallard Creek is so blessed to have a vibrant congregation of all ages, each with a heart for service and lovingkindness! We wish you all the best this school year, and are here to support you through it!

So in your great love and mercy, we ask you, God of joy and light, to pour out your blessing upon these students, families, teachers, and leaders. Bless their backpacks, Chromebooks and computers, virtual classrooms, school buildings, and all preparations that help build a strong and safe year for everyone. Bless their hearts with compassion, their spirits with resilience, and their bodies with strength and good health.

May each of you be a blessing and light in your new year, by the light of your screens and the light of Christ within you! Go forth and light up the world! Amen.
